Happy International Women’s Day 2024! Today, instead of listing all the famous women that we admire we’ve decided to highlight some of the inspirational women we’ve met since opening our coworking doors in 2019. We have met so many fantastic human beings but these ladies have made an impact on us, drum roll please………..

1345 sign ups, 19,327 bookings, 81,641hours and 45minutes of coworking since we opened the doors in 2019. Wow!

As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of our coworking space, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we've been on, especially navigating the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic (which now seems a lifetime ago!).

Working from home has become the norm for many of us, especially in recent times. While the flexibility of remote work has its perks, the novelty of setting up shop at the kitchen table can wear off quickly especially if you have small children running around or you’ve run out of milk!

The recent change in social attitudes towards women returning to work has had an immense positive impact on various elements of everyday life. As societies progress and the idea of women in work becomes more accepted, women have been able to reclaim their rightful place as leaders and innovators. 

At Rume2 we love meeting all of your furry friends and incorporating an element of your personal life into the working environment. However, the benefits of having your furry companions by your side while working has proven to have a multitude of benefits!

Now that we are well and truly established as a nation of flexible hybrid workers, it’s likely you now split your time between the office and home every week.

For most “home working” means just that. Working directly out of your house at perhaps your kitchen table or if you are lucky a home office.

any of us now find it hard to get motivated and feel positive towards the idea of working, especially since the rocky interruptions we have faced over the past two years with Covid. That’s one of the main reasons why coworking is becoming so popular again, having no restrictions now allows us to join together in unison once more.

As we have all adapted to remote working in the last few months the working population has been on a steep learning curve on the impact of working from home on efficiency, motivation and mental health.
